Hotel Nahua: Tamarindo, Costa Rica

We found this place to be the perfect spot to stay while we were looking for something more permanent. The owner Gabriella is very nice and extremely helpful. The whole area is shaded, providing a nice break from the hot sun and dusty roads. We saw some beautiful birds by the pool and a handful of large lizards. There is internet, and although we had some problems with it that were addressed immediately, it was pretty good overall. There is also a large grill in the open common area for general use, and a lounge with couches, chairs and a few hammocks for lounging. I highly recommend it!

One, Two, Three, JUMP!

Written 25 days from flight... Flew out December 17th.
The countdown is on (25 days to flight). Still going through the motions of what needs to be done, no time for excitement, no time to reflect. I feel as though I am slowly walking out of my old skin into a fresh lizard skin, ready to bath in the sunlight of a purposeful life! And of course the tropical weather that comes with moving south. I am grateful everyday for the joy I have experienced so far, and the blessings that now surround me. I've had weekly guest speakers in one of my classes this term who are there to inspire us and give us practical tips on how to move forward past school and into a meaningful life. They have all failed to provide a practical manual, but renewed my faith in fate as they told their stories of how they followed their hearts and struggled through phases to some how arrive at where they are today. Of course tomorrow they will be somewhere else, and that is for me, comforting. I cannot explain how I managed to create the life I have today, because it is not I who created it. The key choices I have made to get here were choices made without reason or by following any manual, but by listening to my gut, my heart, my instincts.
